Hi, I'm Alison — welcome to my little corner of the internet.

I'm Alison—a mum of six, Aussie transplant, creative, storyteller, former Birth Keeper and photographer, and follower of Jesus who has approximately 47 ideas at any given moment. I've always been a maker. I love taking an idea that exists only in my head and somehow turning it into something real. Sometimes that means a book, sometimes a painting, and sometimes a completely unnecessary project that I absolutely did not need to start but now cannot stop thinking about.

I've never been very good at staying inside one little box, and honestly, I've stopped trying. My creativity has taken me through photography, birth work, writing, painting, design, business, motherhood, and probably a dozen other adventures I've forgotten to put on my résumé. For a season of my life, I worked as a Birth Keeper and birth photographer, which gave me the incredible opportunity to witness some of life's most raw, powerful, hilarious, and sacred moments. Those years shaped me deeply, but birth is only one chapter of my story.

The bigger story has always been Jesus. My faith isn't something I tack onto the things I create after everything else is finished—it's woven through the whole thing. It shapes the way I see people, family, creativity, motherhood, beauty, hardship, hope, and what it means to make something with purpose.

I love creating things that make people stop for a second—something that makes them laugh, makes them think, starts a conversation, or is beautiful enough that they want to put it on their wall. Something meaningful enough that they keep it for years. And sometimes, something that is just plain fun.

I'm a big believer that creativity doesn't have to fit neatly into one category. Neither do people. You can be a mum and an artist, a business owner and a homebody, a deep thinker and someone who laughs at completely inappropriate moments. You can be a serious Jesus girl and still have a slightly questionable sense of humour. You can make beautiful things while your house is covered in Lego, have big dreams while reheating your coffee for the fourth time, and follow Jesus wholeheartedly while still being very much a work in progress. That last one might be my favourite.

I don't have everything figured out. I've walked through hard things, changed, started over, and learned things the easy way, the hard way, and occasionally the spectacularly unnecessary way. But through all of it, Jesus has remained the common thread.

So this little corner of the internet is a collection of the things I love to create, the ideas I can't seem to leave alone, and the stories and lessons that have shaped me along the way. Some things here will be thoughtful, some beautiful, some practical, some will probably make you laugh, and every now and then, something might be a little bit unhinged. But underneath all of it is a desire to create with purpose, love people well, and point back to the One who gave me the ability to create in the first place.
